Combined Potential/Current Electrodes

We manufacture two types of combined reference electrodes based on our RB15 Manganese Dioxide and LD15 Silver/Silver Chloride Reference Electrodes. Please note that the LD15 unit is not suitable for seawater immersion or the tidal splash zone where we recommend using the RB15 manganese dioxide reference electrode.

This unique reference electrode combines a MMO coated titanium tubular anode which houses the RB15 or LD15 reference electrode. The MMO unit can be used as a pseudo reference electrode or to measure current flow.

Data sheets and installation procedures for the RB15 and LD15 reference electrodes are applicable for these combined electrodes and can be found in the panel on the right hand side of this page.

RB15/MMO Electrode

  • Reference Electrode: Combined Potential Current Measurement
  • Model: RB15/MMO Electrode

RB15 MMO Combined Small Cap OnA combination reference electrode for corrosion monitoring; a silver/silver chloride reference electrodes with mixed metal oxide (MMO) coated titanium outer tube.

Some specifications require the use of combination reference electrodes for corrosion monitoring. These are usually reference electrodes with mixed metal oxide (MMO) coated titanium outer tube.

The MMO titanium tube is effectively a back up pseudo reference electrode in the unlikely event that the main electrode fails but can also be used for current measurement.
