Silver Chloride Seawater Electrodes

We manufacture three different types of seawater reference electrodes for permanent installation to monitor steel potentials. We also manufacture a portable LD200W weighted seawater reference electrode for visiting on-site surveys.

Please take you pick from the selection below to find your required reference electrode.

Data sheets for the individual electrodes can be found in the panel on the right of this page.

LD10W

  • Electrode: Sea Water
  • Model: LD10W
L10W Seawater Electrode

Element Type:

Silver/silver chloride

Typical 1.2g silver per electrode

Potential

In seawater the cells assume a potential which is dependent on the chloride ion concentration.

Drift

less 3mV in 24 hours.

LD10W Electrode

Dimensions

80 mm long x 10mm diameter nylon barrel

Housing

White Nylon Barrel
White Nylon Inserts

Cable

Raychem cable product code 44A0111-16-6

Expected life:

More than 30 years at a leakage current of 1µA will result in the loss of 0.7 grams of silver. The functional life of the electrode will most likely to be determined by the life of the associated cables.

LD15W

  • Electrode: Sea Water
  • Model: LD15W
L15W Seawater Electrode

Element Type:

Siver/silver chloride                                                                                                                                                                                       Typical 1.2g silver per electrode

Potential:

In seawater the cells assume a potential which is dependent on the chloride ion concentration.

Drift:

less 3mV in 24 hours.
