The refinery is located in an industrial complex on the Umm Al Nar island 20 kilometres from the city of Abu Dhabi.
It is a simple hydroskimming complex with one single 88,000 bbl/day crude distillation unit and a 14,000 bbl/day catalytic reformer. There are also associated naphtha, gasoil and kerosene hydrotreating units and a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) recovery unit
